The faithful minibus — friend to many schools and charities and now friend to Trident, the Metropolitan Police’s gun-crime specialists. If you think your minibus insurance is expensive, it’s a safe bet that it’s cheaper than theirs.
The BBC has reported that Trident’s minibus will be used after a shooting has taken place and will address any residents’ concerns in the community. Trident focuses on gun crime in predominantly black communities.
The minibus will contain seating and a table so the public can talk to police in a warm environment.
Det Supt Gary Richardson stated that Trident hopes the minibus ‘will raise awareness of our work and help provide members or the public with timely information about Trident’s activities.’
Trident aims to enthuse local communities to come together to help prevent, detect and combat gun crime, with the help of the police.
