Ofsted has criticised the majority of secondary schools for their poor standards of Music teaching.
The Telegraph has reported that the government’s proposed £300 million of funding towards music education has had little impact on Schools, with Ofsted stating that ‘there has been insufficient improvement over the last three years’.
Ofsted went on to explain that music education requires active selection of pupils as well as offering opportunities to all and helps to increase self-esteem.
If you or your child own a musical instrument, it is important to find a musical instrument insurance policy that offers peace of mind and the right level of protection for your instrument.
