A private hire driver based in Cornwall, received an incredibly large, final tip from a client, turned friend.
Don Pratt, who’d been working in the hire and reward industry for almost 30 years received a tip of £250,000 from Mary Watson — no need to worry about the private hire insurance any more!
Not only did Pratt receive the sum mentioned, but also her whole estate, which included a small house. Sadly the tip was in fact left in Ms Watson’s will.
Pratt who is 65 has decided that using the money left to him, he is to retire and travel around the British Isles with his wife, Gill.
Although he will miss taxi driving and is saddened by the death or Ms Watson, whom he ferried for 20 years, he is pleased that her last act of generosity has helped him and his wife so much.
