The Driving Standards Agency has announced a campaign to promote eco-friendly driving and incorporate eco-friendly principles into the driving test.
The Times has reported that the ‘eco-safe’ technique can help new drivers use up to 15% less fuel than regular driving. This not only helps to protect the environment by lowering emissions, but also helps to save drivers money.
Driving instructor, PaulĀ Helbing, has said that the eco-safe driving scheme goes against what many older drivers were taught when they started driving; ‘The new saying is “Gears are for going; brakes are for slowing”.
If you are a driving instructor, or run a driving school, it is essential to have the appropriate driving instructor insurance to protect you vehicle, yourself and your pupils.
