Unsurprisingly, Manchester-based driving instructors are strongly opposed to the proposed Manchester congestion charge.
However, not without reason. As reported by Crain’s Manchester Business, based on the cost of £10 a day for multiple crossings in and out of the congestion zone that the Association of Greater Manchester Authorities has suggested, the toll could cost driving instructors thousands of pounds a year and test centres around £104,000 per annum.
Of course, these costs would be passed on to driving students, thus raising the cost of driving by even more.
If you are a driving instructor, or run a driving school, it is essential to have the appropriate driving instructor insurance to protect you vehicle, yourself and your pupils.
