4×4s ’socially unacceptable’?

Which? Car magazine has claimed that the end is nigh for the 4×4, with the UK market ‘virtually collapsed’.4x4 InsuranceThe magazine went on to say that 4×4s have become ’socially unacceptable – unless you’re a farmer.’ Many will know that 4×4s have been unpopular for some time now, with concerns over the environment ever increasing, owners are often the punchline of motoring jokes.

However, contrary to Which? Car’s opinion, NewCarNet.co.uk has reported that used 4×4 sales have increased every month for the last six – illustrating that perhaps there are a fair few people who still want to own one of the vehicles.

Tim Naylor, who is part of the British Car Auctions, believes that the rise in demand for used 4×4s is due to the drop in fuel prices.

If you own a 4×4, it is esssential to find an insurance policy that is right for you and your vehicle.
